ABOUT THIS ARTIST
"Within this new series of artworks, I have portrayed single sections of mysterious contraptions that maybe derived from something much larger than itself. These pieces are an off-branch from the totem series of artworks, which is a continuing series that I am constantly exploring.
Using various mediums such as graphite and oils I am exploring various themes like repetition, mechanical structures and the development and evolution of technology as well as modern day consumer and cultural themes within todays society.
I also want to engage the viewer to conjour their own ideas on what these portrayed sections could be from." Michael Steele
