Signed & Numbered is the creation of 28-year-old Melbournian Jacqui Vidal.
After 6 years spent living interstate and abroad, she returned to her home city
(and leading art capital of the world) with a small idea living in her head.

On her travels, Jacqui came across a shop in the Marais district of Paris
selling touristy pictures of the Louvre and Seine. While the art for sale failed
to capture her imagination or appeal to her budget, other facets of the shop
intrigued her. She loved how it was tiny, barely larger then a hole in the wall,
the bustling informal atmosphere and how the art was displayed - in hard-backed
sleeves that allowed customers to flick through the prints for sale.

Jacqui only wished it sold art she actually wanted to buy and could afford?

And from that bitter regret, Signed & Numbered was born.
A concept space that will challenge your perception of how an art gallery can
feel and how art can be displayed. Signed & Numbered is proud to be the art
gallery with no art for sale on the walls. Its unique way of displaying prints,
as well as providing detailed information on each of its artists sets it apart
from the norm.
