Regular people fascinate me. My work revolves around beauty, normality and imperfection. Art is the central focus of my life and somewhat of a nag anytime I try to take a break.

My work is rendered in ink and pencil on paper. Ink has a life of its own and it's unpredictability is a feature of my work. I make decisions on colour and form quickly, and I frequently paint outside the lines. The delicate, graceful rendering betrays the subject's brazenness. The awkward placement on the page and unbalanced framing is something I actively seek out.

My current work is greatly influenced by my years working as a photographer in the adult industry. There are no perfect bodies, yet perfection is everywhere we look. I'm bored of perfect, I'm bored of celebrity, normal people are far more interesting. Flaws are interesting. This series of work is about exploring those differences & imperfections - pushing them to the extreme and then back again.
